Harp Isles Tier Lists

Who to play at launch, who to skip, and how subspecies change the ranking.

Tier List Hub

A Harp Isles tier list is not a Cos-style popularity contest. Avatars fly, swim, and run on different stats: max flight speed, dive speed, turn radius, flight torque, and brake speed. Subspecies then fork a species into health, damage, and speed bodies — testers even previewed a Two-Jactal flight fork. Rank the job, not the render.

This hub points to three lists:

  • Best avatars — overall launch power for players who already understand hunger and combat.
  • Beginner picks — what to spawn if this is your first creature survival game.
  • Subspecies ranking — when to take health, damage, speed, or a named fork such as Bleed Santa Hiros.

Pair any rank with the avatar roster and diets. A high-tier carnivore that you cannot feed is a D-tier account.

How we rank at launch

Public servers opened 29 August 2026. Sample size is still small. We weigh:

  1. Survivability — can a juvenile reach adult without a revive.
  2. Food access — herbivore nodes versus contested carcasses.
  3. Escape tools — flight, swim, lunge, or pack support.
  4. Skill tree payoff — research that actually changes fights, not flavor stats.
  5. Disaster tax — whether a tornado or acid rain deletes the playstyle.

We do not rank “looks cool” or paid palettes. Palettes are cosmetics you buy with shards or Robux; they do not move a tier.

S, A, B, C — snapshot

Until more patch data lands, treat this snapshot as directional:

  • S — flexible fliers with safe diets and a useful lunge or pack kit. Anything that can leave a fight in the air without vomiting the camera.
  • A — strong adults that punish mistakes in growth (high hunger, contested hunting grounds).
  • B — specialists: water bodies, nest holders, or event-leaning kits that shine in Ashes Awakening and then cool off.
  • C — glass cannons, awkward ground bodies, or kits that need a skill tree you cannot afford yet.

Named roster pieces from showcases — Jacktle, Cyntoli, Sentis’ Areni, Alyorux, Divum’ Turba, San’ Dahyros — live on the roster. Exact launch counts moved during development (FAQ said 11 for beta; later showcases talked 30+ day-one Avatars). We rank what you can actually select in the specimen menu, not concept art.

PvP versus PvE lists

Tester coverage mentioned a PvP toggle and adult-player kill missions. A creature that farms NPC birds and dart plants can still lose a 1v1 against a speed subspecies. If you only want peaceful growth, use the beginner list and pick herbivore or omnivore. If you want the early-access style missions (kills, NPC hunts), read the best avatars page instead.

How to use a rank without throwing DNA

  1. Confirm diet on diets.
  2. Confirm you can fly or hide using how to fly.
  3. Plan the first skill tree path with the research planner.
  4. Only then spend subspecies items.

Ranks will move when the first live patch hits. Recheck this hub after roadmap drops, not after a single viral clip.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common Harp Isles questions.

What is the best Harp Isles Avatar right now?

There is no single best. Open best avatars for power and beginner picks if you are new.

Do subspecies change tiers?

Yes. Health, damage, and speed forks can move a species a full letter. See subspecies ranking.

Should I copy Creatures of Sonaria tiers?

No. Harp Isles uses different flight physics, skill trees, and disasters. Rank this game on its own loop.

Will event creatures reset the list?

Likely. Ashes Awakening is the first lore event and is expected to add creatures or bosses.
